Assembly Education Suspense File Rules
The Assembly Education Committee today adopted new committee rules to establish a suspense file. This file will be similar to the Senate Education Committee, Senate Appropriations committee and Assembly Appropriations Committee suspense files.
Any bill with a fiscal effect greater than $150,000 will be put in the suspense file for future action at the time when bills need to clear committee for deadlines. The effect of the Assembly action is to create parity with the Senate and to force all fiscal bills to endure a gauntlet of four suspense files before passage.
