Changes to Emergency Repair Fund Proposed

Last night in Assembly Budget Subcommittee on Education, the Department of Finance stated their willingness to change the Williams Emergency Repair Program from a reimbursement program to a program that would advance funds to eligible school districts.  While the Department of Finance did not provide detail, they were very clear in their intent to move away from a reimbursement program.

This is a significant step for those school districts that are subject to the Williams court settlement regarding keeping their schools in good repair.
