Dr. Duffy joined the Moorpark Unified School District In 1985 as Assistant Superintendent for Business Services. In that position he was responsible for the planning and implementation of 15 schools in that district. In July of 1988 he was appointed as District Superintendent of Moorpark Unified School District.
Dr. Duffy was Coordinator of School Facilities and Special Education from 1983 to 1985, Coordinator and Teacher from 1980 to 1983, Special Education Consultant in 1980, and a Special Education Teacher from 1971 to 1980 with the Ventura County Superintendent of Schools Office.
As past Chair of the Coalition for Adequate School Housing (C.A.S.H.) he has represented C.A.S.H. on the State Allocation Board's Implementation Committee.
Dr. Duffy received his B.A. in History from CSU, Long Beach in 1971; credential specialization in 1976, his M.A. in Educational Administration from CSU, Los Angeles in 1977 and his Doctorate in Education in September 1992 from USC.
