New Funding for California School Districts?

The House Committee on Education and Labor released information which includes the proposed new funding for California school districts if the United States House of Representative’s version of the federal stimulus appropriation bill is enacted. It does not include any tax credit school bond authority that would be included in the companion tax bill. It includes only the direct appropriations.  

This is only the House of Representatives version and is not a “done deal” because the United States Senate has not acted. This is a planning heads-up, not a final funding notice. Do not start spending based on this information.
