Speaker Nunez Appoints Committee Chairs,
Assembly Democratic Leadership Team
Sacramento- Assembly Speaker Fabian Núñez (D-Los Angeles) named several new committee chairs and made some changes to the Assembly Democratic Caucus leadership team today.
"I am proud to name as committee chairs and caucus leadership this highly effective and skilled group of Assemblymembers," Speaker Núñez said. "I look forward to working with each and every one of these Members to make sure the 2007-2008 legislative session is productive and successful for the people of California."
(Note: Some committee chairs are reappointments, others are new appointments. The committees that are not listed will be appointed in December.)
The following committee chairs were appointed, all effective immediately:
