Event Details

Now is the time to register for the 16th Annual School Finance Conference for Businesses! In addition to the information you receive at the Conference, all attendees are automatically signed up to receive key updates on the State Budget, school bonds, Treasurer’s reports, etc. - a tremendous value you will retain throughout the year!

At the 2018 Conference, you will learn how the November 2018 election could affect K-14 public education programs.  You will hear about the projected 2018 state, national, and world economic climate, expected state and local bond sale costs, and interest rates.

What are the future directions of education policy and funding? How will 2017 legislation and regulation affect bidding, contracting, environmental review, as well as local development approval? This Conference will give you the best information to compare the Governor’s State Budget proposal to the realities of California’s economy, environment, and regulatory requirements.

The 2018 School Finance Conference will be a can’t-miss event for any businesses working with school districts.

In addition to state funding for 2017-18 and 2018-19, schools will look to capital expenditure opportunities. The Conference will focus on the local school facility funding options as well as any new proposals from Governor Brown. The 2018 Conference will feature presentations on:

  • What’s next for school facilities funding
  • Governor Brown’s policies and priorities for 2018-19
  • How new federal tax law changes and infrastructure proposals could affect California schools and businesses
  • Updates on school law and architecture
  • The municipal bond market and economic projections
